About Sangare Conservancy
Experience the Beauty of Sangare
Sangare Conservancy is a 4,250-acre private conservancy in Nyeri County. We are home to dramatic river valleys, a large dam and a diversity of habitats – open plains, riverine forest, and bushland – sustaining a vast diversity of flora, birds and wildlife. Our mission is to preserve this beautiful land and its inhabitants for generations to come.
An electric fence surrounds the Conservancy. One boundary is the steep valley of the Honi River where a fence is not feasible and like the entire boundary; it is patrolled daily.
There is a small work force; they maintain roads, fence lines, pipelines and airstrip. Livestock are run on the Conservancy and are used to help manage the land, and the herders act as additional security.

Due to the terrain it is necessary to come in a 4 WD vehicle to enjoy getting around the conservancy.

At Sangare Conservancy, we are committed to providing our visitors with the best possible experience. If you have any questions or need assistance planning your trip, our team is here to help. Contact us through our website or social media channels to get in touch. We look forward to welcoming you to our beautiful conservancy!
